Abstract

|
A 44 year old manwith typical multiple myelama was studied. He had been admitted to Seoul National University Hospital in December, 1968, because of severe lumbar pain, dyspnea and cough which developed about 2 months before admission. Osteolytic punched-out lesions were found in skull and other skeletal X-ray films.
In laboratory findings, hyperglobulinemia, anemia and Bence-Jones proteinuria were found. Sternal puncture revealed diffuse infiltration of atypical plasma cells.
Melphalan and Mytomycin C were tried but no significant improvement occurred.
